There’s an old saying that runs ‘life is either a thrilling adventure or it is nothing.’ The Quickwits are embarking on a thrilling adventure, that they’re sure won’t stop after the first twenty-four hours. A brand new team of singers, actors, dancers, musicians, writers, and directors, The Quickwits plan to meld snappy jokes with socially-forward ideas, inclusivity, fun, and whimsicality. The group is diverse, with members from all walks of life offering unique perspectives.

MEET THE TEAM!
(Bios written by a caffeine-fueled team member at 3am.)
- Ryan Nunez - Ryan is the world’s most ambitious person. He will order for you at Denny’s when you’re too hungover to do it yourself, and he will get your order EXACTLY RIGHT because he’s a nurturer. If he were a cosmetic, he would be highlighter. If he were a dog, he’d be a French Bulldog. If he were a snack food, he’d be your favourite. He is a co-founder of Play on Words productions and is host of his own podcast Broad-WHAT, wherein he interviews peers and talks about their amazing careers and their favourite shows.
- Katie-Rose Connors - A talented singer and musical director with eyelashes longer than her list of skills, Katie-Rose is ready to party and play piano and accordion, but not at the same time. A graduate of Cap U, Katie enjoys pina coladas, walking in the sunshine, and one-hit wonders.
- Sabrielle McCurdy Foreman - A member of the Play on Words Productions team, Sabrielle has everything going for her. She can belt like a dream, she’s engaged to a handsome prince, and she’s generally well-liked by everybody. Vancouver Presents once called her ‘chameleon-voiced’! But don’t let that charming exterior fool you. She carries with her a dark secret. It would be written here… if it weren’t so secret.
- Theo Budd - Theo unabashedly enjoys life; he is a positive person that boosts up everyone around him. In addition to being an actor and musician, Theo is the co-founder and Vice President of Play on Words Productions. He plays three instruments! He doesn’t enjoy green onions, but nobody’s perfect.
- Fairlith Harvey - If Fairlith Harvey had a time machine, she would travel to 2007 and convince Jerry Mitchell to let her fix the second act of Legally Blonde dramaturgically. Fairlith likes writing jokes, and her proudest accomplishment as a theatre person is having seen CATS over thirty times (not counting the video), in three countries on two continents. She is also the founder/artistic director of Geekenders, which she’s almost as proud of.
- Taylor McKee - Taylor is intimidatingly accomplished for a grade eleven student. She’s in Perry Ehrlich’s Showstoppers, she’s got lots of theatre credits, and she balances all of that with homework. Now she plans to stay up for 24 hours and make a brand new musical. It’s ridiculous, really.
- Ali Watson - Ali Watson is incredibly accomplished. Everybody wants to be her friend. She’s adventurous and tries new things all the time. She’s fearless. Her hair is thicker than War and Peace.
- Andrew Wade - Andrew Wade is irrepressible. He does so many things that he barely sleeps, yet, impressively, he’s still able to function. One thing Andrew is known for is consistently playing the Mad Hatter, over several years, in a variety of mediums, and a bunch of different shows. What a way to get typecast. He is an accomplished writer who sometimes wins awards.
- Brianna Clark - Brianna unironically wears velour sweatsuits, and she pulls them off. A member of Perry Ehrlich’s Showstoppers, Brianna is finding herself cast in absolutely everything. The Quickwits are happy to have gotten her before Broadway does.

Rana Laviolette - This spitfire soprano is a wild card. She can be sweet and nice but will snatch your wig if it’s prettier. She is a true quadruple threat. Get ready to fall in love with Rana.

Florence Reiher - Florence, like the place is elegant and timeless. She opens her mouth and the room goes quiet. She personifies sass, class, and has a a great.. personality.
- Adam Van Loo - Adam is a natural blonde. An internationally-acclaimed multi-instrumentalist with a background in traditional jazz, Adam is proud to be able to wear the heck out of a sweater. As a music therapist, he will hopefully be of great help to his sleep-deprived team in hour twenty. His superpower: answering emails in a timely fashion. If Adam was a Disney character, he’d likely be Winnie the Pooh (but wearing pants).
- Emily Machette - Emily is the voice of reason. She is the sole adult in a room full of Muppet Babies.

Jason Sakaki - Jason will steal your hearts and your time while he serenades you so sweetly, you won’t even realize you missed the last Skytrain. He is a complete heart throb and is ready to smize his way to victory.
If your team had a logo, what would it look like?
- Chimera - Because we’re all so different but together we form one powerful beast.
What makes you think you can win SMACKDOWN?
- Compiling a team from all walks of life, different ages/genders/orientations, gives everyone a voice. Everyones story can be heard, and be told. Everyone is worthy, and this gives an up on the competition.

What advantage would put your team over the top?
- With our team, we don’t need an advantage to win! We’ve got the best writers, musicians, actors, directors, and students that we could find. We’re going to be a force to be reckoned with!
- On the other hand, great minds need snacks, so food is definitely going to be necessary!
Why should the other teams fear you?
- We’ve got two time winner Andrew Wade on our team.
