THE SMACK IS BACK!

Begins March 31st, 6pm at: ARTS UMBRELLA, Granville Island

WHAT IS SMACKDOWN?

Five intrepid teams have 24 hours to create, write and produce a twenty five minute musical. A panel of local theatre notables will judge the products and award prizes, including a grand prize of $500 and a commitment from ASP to develop their product for a future production.

Bread and water, no beds, studio rotations every 2 hours, minimal sleep. Nothing pre-written or pre-developed. We’re talking cave-person level primitive creative energy, people. Live and die by the rosewood sword!

You can support your team to victory. Click below to meet the teams. When you have your team, send them power ups and power downs. Buy them food! Send them coffee. Give your team the ability to force another team to listen to smooth jazz really loud. Anything that can give your team an edge.
